A GIFT FOR THE FUTURE AND THE CHILDREN !

OCS-NEO emphasizes personal responsibility and accountability; self-discipline; and Orthodox Christian morality, charity, and ethics.

To teach student to students to think, reason, and approach life with an Orthodox worldview, OCS-NEO has adopted a modified Classical method and curriculum, firmly rooted in the Apostolic Faith.

The modern proponent of the Classical approach was British writer and medieval scholar Dorothy L. Sayers. In an essay entitled, “The Lost Tools of Learning,” Miss Sayers asked: “Is not the great defect of our education today ... that although we often succeed in teaching our pupils subjects, we fail lamentably on the whole in teaching them how to think: they learn everything, except the art of learning.” To remedy this, Miss Sayers proposed reinstating the Classical form of education used in the West during the Middle Ages.

OCS-NEO’s mission is to serve as an extension and fulfillment of the primary parental responsibility for the education of their children by providing parental responsibility for the education of their children; by providing an academically strong classical curriculum reinforced with spiritual development; and by students’ participation in the Orthodox Christian community.

We accept donations in the form of gifts, grants and bequests to support educational initiatives and further Orthodox, classical education.  For more information about making a donation or gift, please call 330-252-9980.
